It is hot as Hades here. At least I think it is. I've never actually been to Hades but I know people who have and they tell me that south Texas in the summer is very comparable.

Seriously, I got up early this morning and ventured onto my back patio. Upon exiting my house, I was met by a wall of heat and humidity. I went back inside and checked the weather.com listing for our zip code. Sure enough, they had our humidity levels at 100%. It was hot and we had clear blue skies and we had 100% relative humidity. We've been suffering through triple digit heat the past week with the added indignity high humidity piled on top of that.

This afternoon we went to see the movie Land of the Lost. In my opinion, it wasn't really that great although the props were excellent, especially the old motel swimming pool scenery. There were some funny parts to the movie and several gross, cringe-inducing scenes that you often find in Will Ferrell movies.
